First I need to warn the readers to not use Apple Maps to get there because it will bring you to some random place on the other side of Toulouse. The chateau is out in the country side. It is a pretty building with beautiful grounds and the apartment we stayed in was very spacious, recently renovated with a terrific view of the adjacent county. The breakfast was typical French. What surprised us at the beginning was that it is also a retirement community. There are several adjacent buildings for the retirees and I think the chateau is used only as a hotel. We have not seen that before but it wasn’t really a problem and we enjoyed talking to some of them at breakfast. About a mile or two away there is a town where you can find restaurants and other shops. It’s about 20 minutes away from the center of Toulouse. So if you are looking for a peaceful place, i strongly recommend it.

Hôtel calme et bel endroit.

Endroit calme et très moderne. Lié à la résidence pour senior à côté. La piscine chauffé était très agréable. Belle vue sur Toulouse la nuit.

ATTENTION : Pas un hotel!

Attention, c'est une résidence pour personnes âgées, qui possède "une aille hôtelière". Les chambres sont bien et possèdent une kitchnette, ce qui correspondrait à une version luxe d'un apparthotel. Mais pour le reste, rien n'est à vocation hôtelière, nous sommes bien dans une résidence spécialisée : l'accueil, les espaces communs, les services. Le personnel est très agréable mais on ne se méprendra pas sur la nature de leur emploi. Le restaurant n'en est clairement pas un ! L'équivalent d'un aide soignant vous expédira poliment votre repas de réfectoire... Et le petit déjeuné ne fait pas exception, surtout qu'il est dispensé à des horaires très tardive, pas du tout indiqué si vous êtes en déplacement professionnel. Malgré la qualité des chambres et la sympathie du personnel, je crois qu'il faut être réaliste: SAUF si vous êtes véhiculé et ne cherchez qu'un pied à terre au calme, ou souhaitez vivre avant l'heure l'immersion en EPHAD, cette destination n'est pas pour vous. Je pense que l'annonce et les photos sont très trompeuses pour ça!! A tarif égal on apprécirait une sérieuse amélioration sur la nature de la prestation.

ATTENTION : Hôtel d’un Ehpad

Le château en lui même est très bien voire parfait. Juste nous aurions aimé savoir à l’avance que c’est la partie hôtelière d’un Domytis pour personnes âgées. Nous aurions alors changé nos plans…. Nous retrouver au milieu d’un Ehpad n’était pas prévu au programme.
