I recently stayed at Toronto Don Valley Hotel and Suites and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Here's a breakdown of my concerns: Cleanliness: The cleanliness of the hotel left much to be desired. Upon entering my room, I immediately noticed a strong dingy smell which I assumed was the dirty carpet. The bathroom also appeared to be inadequately cleaned, with noticeable grime in the corners and on the fixtures. Overall, the lack of cleanliness greatly impacted my comfort during my stay. Limited Plugs and Broken Fixtures: One of the most frustrating aspects of my stay was the limited availability of functioning electrical plugs. The few plugs that were accessible were either broken or barely holding on, making it difficult to charge my devices. Maintenance Issues: The maintenance of the hotel was clearly lacking. The door handle of the sliding door in my room came off completely, posing a safety hazard and making it difficult to secure the room. Additionally, the lack of available parking spaces was disappointing and inconvenienced guests who were expecting convenient access to parking facilities. Overall, my experience at Toronto Don Valley Hotel and Suites was disappointing due to the lack of cleanliness, limited functioning plugs, broken fixtures, and inadequate parking facilities.

Was really disapointed to discover that just like the parking, the breakfast was not included. Parking is $13 a night and the breakfast is $19 and up. This hotel really seems to love to cut ammenities that are conventionally included with other places. As for the facilities, the beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The patio door could not seal air tight so you heard wind blowing all night. The bathroom has heated floors but fan didnt work and the lights flickered. But the thing that really leaves a sour taste in my mouth is seeing the manager respond to negative reviews online. There is so much unprofessionality in his words when a former customer has left some frustration. People spend their hard earned dollars and get a less than disireable stay, and the manager continually tosses the blame on anything but the hotel. Ive read several regarding bed bugs and the manager just brushes it off like its a conspiracy. Its sad really. Because of these reasons, I just wont ever come back.

Priced as average, no breakfast included like the travelodge and beds are middle of the road. Staff was great, friendly. Smoke pit was rather small, but the indoor pool is quite nice with the glass dome. For 226 cdn for 2 twin beds was not bad being the postioning in Toronto. Toilets were extremely small and designed for youth. Still was enjoyed. Dr Fresch Habstrakt really put on a show haha

The qualities I have clicked on above. The only thing we did not enjoy is the bath plug which would not allow the shower water to flow out fast enough. By the end of my short shower (4 minutes), I would have water above my feet. The rest of our stay was perfectly okay and I did also enjoy the sliding door to the balcony. It allowed us to get some fresh air for a few minutes.

Loiters/guests sitting outside of rooms in long dark lit hallway that are smoke scented. My room had no freshness as I entered. The carpet was dull and stained. Unbelievable algae terrace. Hallways are really intimidating. I checked out early next morning. The male at the reception desk was polite but when I told him I could not stay there I want to check out he told me I will be charged for all the nights booked to stay there. I asked him for his name he said “I am front desk, just ask for “front desk”He would not give me his name.

Banging sound coming from I assume plumbing starting at 6:30AM. I assume because there was no water pressure and everyone seemed to be getting up and showering. Front desk didn’t have a maintenance person to identify the sound then just didn’t know what it was upon check out. Fan in bathroom didn’t work so the ceiling was soft and sagging, patio door didn’t seal up so constant draft. Everything was kind of warn out and needed some updating and cleaning.

Although the hotel itself was nice the roof was not cleaned well after the prior stay. There was an abundance of long dark hairs everywhere... and very easily visible too. The bathroom floor and tub were covered in hair... like it hadn't been cleaned at all.
