"We booked this at the last minute as we were travelling up to the Scottish borders and wanted to break the journey due to the extreme heat. We arrived very late (about 11pm) but we had called the hotel in advance and one of the staff agreed to wait for us. When we did arrive we were greeted with a very warm welcome. Our one regret is that we didn't have time to make use of the observatory (yes you read that right!) All staff very friendly and helpful and loved the breakfast"

"The bar area, restaurant all very good. Staff friendly and helpful. Situated on the river with amazing views from the dining room. Also the opportunity to sit outside in this beautiful setting. Very nice breakfast and evening meals. On the downside. The room we had was not very soundproof there was a wardrobe across a door which meant next doors tv was very loud. Our tv had a very tired handset. There is no lift so be prepared to do quite a bit of walking up and down stairs and corridors."

"Almost everything OK. Moreover Corbridge is a nice town. I wander about one thing. In the room ther were no hooks and no chairs. What do English people do with clothes? What do they do with their towels? No idea. There is plenty of space for hooks."

"Lovely, clean, and comfortable room. The bed and mattress were of excellent quality, and I had a very good night's sleep. We had dinner in the restaurant, which was fantastic. The portions were generous, and the food was of a very high standard. We stayed in the family room and, unfortunately, there was a noticeable iron burn mark in the middle of the carpet. "Big, clean comfortable room. Marvellous staff, so friendly and would do anything to help you enjoy your stay. Lovely town and Corbridge Roman town just a short walk away. Perfect location for exploring Northumberland’s Roman history. Large car park, ideal to leave car, explore town and visit historic Pele tower. "
