The beer garden had the best mac & cheese and parsnip soup you’ve ever had in your life. Location is extremely convenient to the train station, York Minster, restaurants, pubs and shopping. "This was a great place to stay. Fantastic views of Richmond and the surrounding country side and the same time an easy walk into the centre. Very dog friendly and good dog walks from the doorstep. Bedrooms were big and everything very clean and in good condition. Food really well cooked. "

"Spacious room and bathroom (located in converted stables behind the pub) with TV and plentiful tea/coffee supplies. Wifi connection a bit limited in the room, but excellent in the pub itself. Friendly staff."
