Fabulous room, only slightly let down by empty picture hooks and non working lights. Bed is 2 singles pushed together which made it difficult to cuddle up, but otherwise very comfortable night.
A delightful location and hotel. The rooms were fantastic with patio and lounge, massive bathroom and very comfortable bed. The views were wonderful. A very enjoyable stay. Will be back.
Although we only had a short stay, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The room was very clean and comfortable. The restaurant was delightful and the food was excellent. The staff were all helpful, friendly and professional and nothing was too much trouble, making our stay extremely pleasurable. We would definitely go back, perhaps for a little longer next time.
An amazing place to stay.
The accommodation was perfect, well maintained, had everything you could need. The food was excellent, the atmosphere congenial and the decor for Christmas added the extra class.
This is a lovely country hotel, i stayed last weeknin a garden room.
This week I chose a room in the Hotel itself which was great unfortunately the staff went home and left music playing in the Restaurant down below and this kept me awake !
The Management compensated me in the morning for the inconvenience which was good of them.
The food was excellent and the ambience was great so I will definitely stay again .
We loved every moment , the staff were very professional and friendly . Our Junior Suite was fabulous and the view amazing . Our evening meal and breakfast was delicious. Ten out of ten all round

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
A nice looking place with gorgeous grounds. I had a room in the main building which was OK but you can hear the TV in the room next door. The window wouldn’t close (thankfully it wasn’t cold), the bathroom door didn’t close properly and the bathroom sink tap is just odd. It looks the part but could do with some effort on the details as it isn’t exactly cheap. Not a bad stay at all but not sure I would rush back.
This is a lovely place
Behind the pub, there is a courtyard surrounded on two sides by purpose built tasteful living accommodation and on the third side the pub, and the final side by a very pleasant view of open countryside. In the centre is a lovely designed garden with some tables to enjoy a evening drink
The food was very good and the service excellent
Parking plentiful
The pub is in a very small village, with a pleasant old church worth visiting, but there is little else for a visitor to do on foot. The idea therefore for us was to use it as a base to explore the area by car and have a good rest with some good food
Would definitely like to return again to this very special place
