"We are delighted with this hotel and its staff. In a quiet location on the University of Edinburgh campus, yet only about a 30 minute walk or inexpensive cab ride to the Royal Mile. Breakfast was very good and allowed us to skip the time and expense of having lunch. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a quiet oasis at the end of a busy day. "

"The location is perfect, right near Arthur’s seat and easy access into the main centre (via bus or a 25 min walk). The staff were so kind and helpful with anything that we needed and the breakfast is a must! The hotel was absolutely beautiful, but the staff made the experience 10/10. We will definitely be coming back, we felt welcomed upon arrival and the free parking is a bonus! Absolutely exceptional."

"The view of Edinburgh Castle out of my window was amazing—a clean and lovely hotel. I must mention that the room did not have air conditioning, so I had to leave the window open at night, which was a bit loud until late because of the wonderful bars and restaurants in that area, but that view made up for it. "This hotel is in a great location. Close to Royal Mile, museums and shopping. Downside is no parking so best to skip car rental til you are ready to go to next location in Scotland. The food was excellent with complimentary Champaign at arrival and breakfast."

"This is a very pleasant and modern hotel in a very good location. An excellent base for seeing the city. They don't do breakfast but there are seversl cafes within minutes' walk that do. Free drinks in the comfy lounge in the late afternoon is a good offer. The main downsides are that the rooms at least the one we had - are very small at the price, although well equipped. Our shower had a life of its own and was frankly something of a danger to life and limb. The staff are friendly, charming and helpful. They were very kind to our dog who was well catered for."
