"The apt mentions it has a restaurant, but it closed during covid and hasn’t reopened. It does serve an excellent breakfast, but the restaurant isn’t open for lunch or dinner. I was there on an Easter Monday, and the majority of the restaurants in the area were closed for the holiday. I would not have stayed at the hotel if I had known the restaurant was closed. "

"This is a tidy little hotel with some architectural charm. The location is also great if you want convenient access to inter-city and local trains. It is literally across the street from the H’burg central station, so all the main U- and S-Bahn trains are within a two minute walk, or less if you’re not weighed down with bags or small children (I probably would not recommend it for those with small children). The proximity to the Hauptbohof station also meant a bit of hustle and bustle, but we did not find that a problem, and it came with some amenities (below). The desk staff were really friendly and accommodating, and we had no problems communicating with them in English (we don’t speak more than a few words of German, so we appreciated their friendly greetings in English). There is a major performing arts center (Shauspielhaus) a block away, so that meant that there were several good eateries within just a few steps of the front door (highly recommend Capri and Vesuvius, both Italian, and Schifferborse; and the breakfast at Mitte Hamburg about three blocks away is delightful—pro tip: get the fluffy pancakes!"

"The building is old and expected for the price. There was mold in our room but the linens were all clean and room was as clean as it could be except for that. The Staff was AMAZING!!! They were all so friendly! I would recommend for a quick stay but maybe not with kids as the area is not kid friendly environment."

"All the staff were amazing! I don’t remember the names for everyone - I can’t remember his name but the Argentinian man working those nights was amazing! The bar is 24hrs which I was pleasantly shocked by. Nina was super helpful - had a little issue with the TV & she came & fixed it no problem. Luna was also great on check in! Amazing all around - would recommend! "

"Room was clean enough but the bed wasn’t very comfy. The walls are very very thin. The lift was scattered with someone’s takeaway scraps and not cleaned. Staff were perfectly friendly and welcoming though. Location was v close to the metro so good access to the city. "
