"The Strutt arms was a great experience. The owners were very friendly and helpful. There is an Indian restaurant on site ,and also have other foods . The standard double room was small ,but was very comfortable, it had a 37 inch television on the wall ,a portable fan,a comfy king-size bed and tea and coffee ,hot chocolate and biscuits if you feel peckish, and a complimentary jug of ice cold water as well. "We had a lovely stay at Horsley Lodge! The food was absolutely excellent, beautifully presented and full of flavour, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our visit. The views from the property were truly stunning and made for such a relaxing atmosphere. The room itself was clean and comfortable, though the bedding and air in the room had a slightly closed-up scent, as if they hadn’t been aired for a while. "Lea Hurst is a fantastic place to stay , Quiet and secluded. The house is beautifully restored and the room was superb good views over the countryside,, Jen was a superb host and made us feel welcome in her home. Excellent breakfast and the canal path only 5 minutes walk through the garden. Good location for visiting all of the Peak District. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to return "
