"What a pleasure it was to stay there last night. We stayed in room 3, which is the "Crying Lady" room. I didn't hear her unfortunately but my wife was snoring. Can I please just give a mention to Ben, who didn't stop all day. A true gentleman. An extra mention to the "Undercover Boss"... You know who you are. We will be back soon. "I received a free upgrade to one of the Lodges so don't actually know about Davy Cottage. However, the lodge called Owls Nest was lovely. Spacious, well equipped, clean and really comfortable. The view was great. Parking was directly outside. The road is rather pot-holed (not unlike the rest of the country!) and I didn't like the black towels which left lint all over me, but that is really me being finicky! We ate in the restaurant one evening which was very good. The peacocks were amusing,...

"This is a quaint little place, convenient for a quick no frills overnight stay. The car park had travelling contractors vans in it in the early evening and all gone before breakfast that starts at 8am. Breakfast is prepared to order, cereal and full English that was very nice."

"Came here with my sister just to have a catch-up. Crooked Inn is in a beautiful quiet location. All the staff were so friendly, helpful and welcoming. Room and grounds are well maintained. Food was good. We both had a lovely stay and definitely recommend. "
