The Cathedral is just across the road and everything you need including lunch by the riverside is within easy walking distance. It was clean and the breakfast was very good. There was no one to receive us and the room key was left on the reception desk with a note. "WOW! What a stunning place! Which we highly recommend a stay here. From when you initially arrive at the property and travel down the drive you can see the wonderful gardens and beautiful views. Rooms were very quiet, hotel had a lift which is very convent as the steps are steep to the 2nd floor. A clean room could do with an update , older style mattress but still comfortable , A quiet pub in a tucked away location and it has all you need quiet room ,T.V , a good shower , Tea and coffee , an ok bed . Bit like staying at an older relative, I will go back and use it again."
