"So - this isn't a B&B, nor is it The Ritz. But Jade gave us the most lovely welcome, check in and parking was a breeze and we had an amazing meal at the pub next door. Great value and a perfect stop off point for our visit to Durham Uni. The room was cozy, but clean. Jade provided milk each day for tea/coffee and nice shower with products provided and lovely towels. If I had one suggestion it would be to perhaps change the single bed mattresses. One was creaky/squeaky and the other smaller one was a bit flat and lacked support. Otherwise, a lovely stay."

"I have lost count how many times we have stayed at the Blackhorse now. I first stayed whilst away with work and was so impressed that everytime we need to visit it family in Yorkshire, Northumbria or Scotland we use this as our stop off or base. The staff are always so friendly and helpful and the premises is always clean and well maintained. We have never had a bad meal and the menu is always updated with a good selection of dishes to suit all tastes. Thankyou as always for a great stay"

"The Village Inn was the perfect place for a stopover while travelling further south. Ideally located a short distance from Northallerton. Large car park, restaurant with a really good menu choice and very reasonably priced. The room was extremely clean and comfortable with heating you can control yourself. Powerful shower and very hot water. Breakfast was great, with choices of full English, Vegan, cereals etc. I would highly recommend the Village Inn to everybody looking for somewhere to stay while on route. Nightly prices are very reasonable."

"Enclosed and secure garden for the dog was a real plus, the cottage was very private with lovely views and all amenities. Check with was smooth and the host is lovely. "
