Lovely hotel nearby lake and forest

We had a lovely stay at the Rosendahl, room was spacious - with a lakeview (and a tub!). We used the hotel bikes to visit the city, and the route was super nice! Reception staff didnt give any information without specifically asking (breakfast time, check out time, pool / sauna hours, parking).. which was the only nuisance we had. Sauna was cold in the morning, which was a disappointment. Hotel was tidy and breakfast delicious. Would accommodation here again!

Very lovely setting in the outskirts of Tampere, and a very nice hotel. Had a lovely view from my room towards a lake and a lush, green area. Very scenic! The pool area is quite decent, and the restaurant was pretty good aswell - we had a wonderful waitress, who took such good care of our entire group (tip her well!)

I was kinda surprised that the hotel was kinda isolated, I thought it would be more accessible to the city center. There was one public bus that stopped outside the hotel. And walking down there the first time was kind of an adventure.

The hotel stay was overall very good. But a few things need improvement : 1) Parking space for each car was too small that everyone had trouble finding a spot without a car parked beside. Otherwise we couldn't get out of the car! 2) The opening hours were only written downstairs on ground floor. So we wasted the kids' drink service for we couldn't find the bar opening hours in the room. 3) The room and bathroom was outdated and wasn't clean. But we enjoyed the stay overall, the location was perfect!

We arrived late afternoon & ordered dinner from the restaurant. The staff mixed up the menu order & gave my travel partner (with severe food intolerances & disabilities) my spicy dish. The dishes looked similar, so we only realised this after my travel partner had already eaten a portion of my spicier dish. This then resulted in my travel partner becoming severely ill & missing a full 3-days of a prepaid (€450) 4-day business confernce event at the hotel, all due to this staff incompetence. Also, when we drew this to the attention of the staff at the time, there wasn't even an apology & they were put out, that we were merely asking for their mistake of suppling the wrong menu orders to us, to be rectified. At the time, I actually ate the wrong order brought out to me. But in retrospect I should have also insisted my wrong dish was likewise changed. However, unfortunately all the damage was already done. Their negligence resulted in my travel partner (& my carer) with severe food intolerances & disabilities, then being severely ill & confined to their room, trying to recover from the staff mistake for 3-days. In addition to being out the hotel costs, my travel partner also lost €450 ref the prepaid conference expenses for an event they were unable to attend. In summary, the staff negligence & inattention resulted in a complete disaster of a stay for us both. If you have any food intolerances, allergies or disabilities beware, I wouldn't recommend this Scandic Rosendahl Hotel!

Viel hôtel non rénové, énorme bâtiment tout en longueur, ambiance austère, personnel désagréable, peu avenant, 25 minutes d’attente pour le check-in (discussion en buvant des bières avec des clients pendant que de nombreux clients attendaient à la queue, aucun excuse pour l’attente, une seule personne un samedi midi pour gérer le check-in avec 2 énormes événements dans la ville !) Bruits extérieurs et intérieurs on entend les discussions et plus par les conduits de climatisation … Douche délimitée par une paroi directement sur le sol de la SdE Bar - restauration : impossible de boire un café ou de se restaurer en dehors des horaires d’ouverture du restaurant Seul bon point, l’environnement verdoyant en forêt à proximité d’un lac, et parking facile

Olemme yöpyneet Tampereella aina Rosendahlissa, mutta tämän yöpymisen jälkeen katsomme muita hotelleja. Aamiainen on ollut superhyvä ennen, mutta nyt on jotain muuttunut huonompaan suuntaan. Huone on hyvä. Ilmainen parkkipaikka ilahduttaa, joskin parkkiruudut ovat nykyautoille pieniä. Vaimoni tuohtui iltasaunan tapahtumista. Naisten saunaan mahtuu noin kuusi aikuista ja suihkuja on vain kolme. Saunomassa oli ollut noin 12- 15 naista samaan aikaan. Saunassa ei ollut löylyjä. Pukuhuoneessa oli ollut puhelin, muttei respan numeroa. Miesten saunassa sain saunoa yksin. Tilaa olisi ollut ainakin tusinalle, suihkuja oli kuusi. Vaimoni kuuli myöhemmin, että hotellissa on varasaunoja, joita olisi voinut tilanteessa lämmittää. Uima- allas on kiva, joskin vesi viileää ja lapset hyppivät altaaseen vaikka se on kiellettyä. Tasa-arvoinen kohtelu ei toteudu Rosendahlissa ja Scandic veloittaa jatkossa aamiaisesta erikseen. Näistä syistä johtuen emme enään majoitu Rosendahlissa.
