We loved the property because two subway stations were within a 1 minute walk. Additionally, the location is a blast because you can walk to the Zhongli Xinming night market is within minutes with delicious food and shopping everywhere. Plus the breakfast buffet was plentiful!

Stayed for 8 days. The rooms were well-maintained. The location was great. The room size was on par to other hotels of a similar price. The check-in staff were contradictory. Some said that you would get bedsheets changed every 3 days, some said you would get it if you asked, some said you would never get your sheets changed. Similarly with the towels. The room, without the changing of the sheets, felt dirty because of that. It has a gym but only open at unhelpful hours (10am-10pm; but those are also prime tourist / exploring hours). I was glad they had a laundry room although I never had to use it. If you stay on the second floor, you will hear the loudspeaker of the Sushi restaurant below calling out table numbers all day long. They would make your bed every 3 days for "eco cleaning". Yet their breakfast used purely disposable items (cutlery, plates, cups, bowls). The only thing "eco" about their breakfast was their general lack of meat products. For a similar price, you can stay at other hotels (eg., Hotel Midtown Richardson) which has daily housekeeping and a sizeable breakfast. I would stay here if it was a 1-2 night stay; I would stay elsewhere if it were anything longer.

In a prime location within the popular shopping district of Ximen, the Green World Hotel is a fantastic place to stay. The decor is a bit outdated, but they doesn’t take away from our experience staying here. The hotel, for the most part, is well taken care of, with very clean rooms and amenities, I’m very satisfied with our stay in that aspect. Sound proofing was good enough I think. Our room was on the street side and the sound of all the motor bikes still gets through, but it’s muffled enough that it didn’t disturb our sleep. The breakfast is okay, especially the local dishes. I would say that the breakfast bar’s short comings are with the western style options, such as the milk not actually being milk but half and half or the toast spreads aren’t good. One major thing I am deducting points on is that the front desk called us at 10:30 pm, when we were already asleep, to tell us that an order we placed had arrived. The order was not a time sensitive matter and could have either waited until the morning or they could have simply left a note on our door or just waited until we checked out. Overall, the experience was okay despite some annoyances. I’d recommend that the front desk does not contact their customers late into the evening unless requested to do so. That’s one way to really anger someone and prevent them from wanting to stay again. I’m not sure if we’d stay here again, but it’s possible.

When checking in, the hotel staff asked for a 1,000 NT Dollars deposit which is not mentioned anywhere when booking this hotel. Before staying at Green World Hotel in a different area in Taipoei a couple of days before, they did not ask for deposit. Finally, the staffer admitted that it was the problem of the system itself and did not require the opposite,

The breakfast provided was sumptious but was the usual Chinese fare but we liked the soybean milk. The only thing that did not work so well was the door card. We had to try several times before we can open the door of our room. Probably the sensore was not working so well.
