Very cosy, warm unit, and a comfortable bed and pillows. A bit of road noise but it didn't stop us sleeping. Shower okay but maybe needs some attention to the spray distribution

Easy friendly check in. Lovely clean room and good facilities. Road noise a problem, I came prepared with ear plugs and got a reasonable night's sleep. - almost needs triple glazing to help and a door that blocks out noise. Apart from that I have stayed here 2-3 times and always enjoyed my stay.

Lovely, friendly hostess greeted us upon arrival, gave us the key and showed us our room. The location is very handy to all amenities, 2 minutes drive to the local shopping centre, nice restaurants, New World for snacks and drinks, right on State highway 1 for easy access. Cleanliness is tops, bed very comfortable, compliments to the hosts and we shall return soon.

The accommodation was OK, a bit dated but they added some new touches inside. However, I booked the room because there was a photo over “select this room” with a cooker in it. However, when we arrived there wasn’t one; only a microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster. We phoned reception from the supermarket to ask about that as it’s not easy being a vegetarian in Taihape. The receptionist said we had booked one of two rooms with no cooker in it. When my husband told her about the photo, she said the Expedia photo was out of date. She maintained we hadn’t booked a room with a cooker in it. It looks like they may have updated the photo on the site, but too late for us.

I have stayed here before, its a good location for traveling the island between centers, just out of town. The downside is the volume of heavy trucks on the main road outside late at night. Reasonably priced and same standards as most other motels for the price. There is a good restaurant close by for dinner, good menue and a welcoming roaring fire, in winter.
