Overall a nice property. Breakfast was good. Has a hot tub as well which was nice. Horses were beautiful to wake up to and the option to the riding there is great. An older property though and the front desk staff could be more personable.

I rarely write reviews but Eldhestar deserves one. This suburban hotel is clean, with great view, conveniently located if you want to stay close to Reykjavik or along the golden circle. Through our window, we saw hundreds of horses. The hotel includes great breakfast, free coffee/tea and cookies all day. They also have a couple of outdoor hot tubs. The staff in the hotel is super friendly. We have stayed in 6 hotels during our trip in iceland, Eldhestar is the best, though cost the lowest! Great place to stay and can also take a horse ride tour!

We enjoyed our stay along with the meals (complimentary breakfast). Everything was comfortable and the staff were helpful with road and weather conditions. We also rode the horses, which was very enjoyable.

Extremely clean and friendly. The hot tubs were perfect and the breakfast buffet even allowed for a little to go lunch. My only suggestion would be to add coffee makers in the room.

The hotel is closed to a farm with many horses running and playing in the field. The hotel is clean and the room is bright. The room has a private washroom. The hotel provides free breakfast and dinner is available. Parking is easy. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Will stay there again.

The staff were excellent and very helpful! Check-in was smooth and they suggested dinner at their in-house hotel since we checked in the evening. Dinner took us by surprise, very good! Both the pricing and portion sizes are great, which is hard to find in Iceland. Breakfast is plenty with hot and cold options, lots of selection and buffet style. Free parking is also available. Lots of cool amenities that we unfortunately couldn't use due to time but they have hot tubs, horseback riding (extra), and much more!
