"First, I wanted to notify you that I contracted 2 strands of E. Coli, one containing toxins from eating/drinking at your resort. Your resort was the only place I ate or drank anything on the island. Was hospitalized upon return home. Overall the stay was good. We might consider staying here again for snorkeling/diving, given its location on the island. Shuttle service from airport to resort was fine, air conditioned, took probably half hour just to negotiate traffic to leave the airport...

However, I do feel the hotel needs more lighting in the area and some minor repairs to the property. Otherwise, everything was perfect. "We only stayed one night before taking the ferry to Utila. I appreciated that they arranged my airport transfer to the hotel and from the hotel to the ferry. My room was near the water, but you had to walk down the sand to get to it due to construction work. This construction meant there was a lot of noise during our stay, which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. The room was quite large and clean. "If you’re looking for a tranquil and relaxing experience, away from tourists attractions, Las Verandas is the place. The grounds are well kept and the ocean views are spectacular. The restaurant on site and the poolside bar were amazing. Waitstaff very pleasant and attentive. The beach was very rocky therefore not conducive to swimming but the 2 infinity pools made up for that. We will definitely be returning for another week’s stay."
