"Lovely hotel with beautiful grounds and great facilities. Only stayed for one night but enjoyed a quick swim in the pool and had a lovely evening meal and breakfast in the restaurant. "Dirt in the room and under the bed. Staff generally good. Booking came with a room upgrade due to status. Room upgrade didn’t occur despite the hotel being empty and having availability on their website. Emailed the hotel through Expedia app (replying to the message they sent me) asking questions. That was ignored and not responded to. Dinner food quality was poor considering my the level they quote themselves to be at and prices charged. We needed the laundry facilities, and although they are listed here on Expedia, they do not have any. 2. We needed access to halls 1-4 at the NEC. Several staff just walked past us with our bags and no one acknowledged we were trying to check in for several minutes. "We really enjoyed our stay - this is our second time staying at this hotel. Fairly affordable and easy access to the NEC which is only a short drive away. The room was tidy and clean and we also had a fan in the room which was very welcome given the warm weather. I only had breakfast at the hotel once, but the staff were really helpful. I asked if they had any sweet vegan options and they went back into the kitchen and got me a really lovely lemon and poppy seed muffin."
