"Great location - walking distance to the main railway station and Metro but a Very corporate hotel much more suited to business stays so not the best experience for us for a number of reasons. Check in took ages and I was charged again for a pre-paid reservation which then took another visit and another 10 minutes to resolve (i think it was resolved - will be checking my CC as it was all a bit vague). They don't clean the rooms until day 3 (you can ask we discovered) - that's OK but would have expected more from a hotel at this price point and * rating. Certainly replacing towels given there is no heated towel rail so using damp towels is not great. Also no replacement tea/coffee felt a bit penny pinching. Breakfast was OK but I wouldn't say brilliant. For starters trying to get a seat in the Canteen like breakfast room was a challenge - too many tables for 6 and 8 which may work for midweek conferences but didn't feel right for a weekend leisure stay. Seemed to always be out of milk. You have to pay extra for anything except filter coffee. And closing time means closing time - everything is whisked away on the dot and you feel pressured to get out. Our Superior Room was nice but a king bed was 2 singles and 2 duvets so again not quite what we had in mind for a romantic leisure trip."

"The room and hotel generally were nicely decorated. Really good breakfast and the staff were friendly. The location was great and safe (I was travelling alone and didn’t feel unsafe at any time). Only downside was the soundproofing wasn’t great and I could hear the guests on either side of my room."

"We loved our stay! It was in the perfect location, the staff were so friendly, and the room had everything we needed (and more!). We appreciated that there were two separate bathroom areas and that the front desk had a baggage scale we could borrow while packing. "
