"A truly wonderful stay over the festive period. The new spa is lovely and room 452 was SO quiet and spacious, highly recommended. The only downside which I pointed out two years ago is that the shower lets the room down as it’s not powerful enough and looks dated too. A short taxi ride or lovely walk into the centre with everything you could wish for. Please note valet parking is £39.50 and the Soa £45 per person in addition to the room. "It was our 5th Christmas staying there. Staff are great, rooms are great, location is great. Lovely 10min walk to town for food and shops. Can park mostly easily and only £15 for the day/night. Best tradition of ours at Christmas. "

"The room was impeccable, with lovely thoughtful touches such as a radio and bath robes. The products in the bathroom were an extremely high quality. Comfy bed and perfect locations. The staff were so friendly too. Would highly reccomend. "

"Hotel was a great location, clean and warm and all the staff bar our initial welcome by a receptionist was first class ( we did not see that receptionist again - cold, abrupt and not bothered) but everyone else was amazing. The peacock bar was lovely and a nice twist on major cocktails with a Yorkshire twist and the breakfast was so nice, great staff and freshly cooked food nothing too much trouble. "I stayed here with my partner for 1 night. It was located very near to a venue we were attending so that is how we came to choose this hotel. The room was a good size with a very nice shower room. The water pressure was quite weak however but for one night it wasn’t a problem. Sleep quality was good thanks to a comfy bed and a good temperature in the room. It was New Year’s Eve but we didn’t hear any noise from other rooms or outside. Breakfast was ok but I was surprised to see guests going...
