"We really enjoyed our three night stay. The staff and the food were excellent. The location of the hotel is ideal for exploring the area or popping over the border in to Wales. We were able to park right outside the door to our room which was well equipped and comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to others."

"The place was clean and bright. However we were unprepared for the atmosphere. Nowhere in the booking process did we understand that we were staying in a religious commune. We could not find the promised shared kitchen and the walls were very thin. Everyone was friendly but we only saw one last when we arrived and one when we left. "Excellent location in central Great Malvern for a couple of days hiking in the hills. This is a classic old school English hotel with a modern twist and excellent service. Check in was easy, the (twin) room was clean and comfortably furnished with a large bathroom. We ate in the bar - serving very good food (homemade pies and gravy were v v good) and good range of beers. Some lovely touches such as a daily newspaper in the breakfast room and bar, specials on the chalk board to accompany the regular menu and lots of space - bar, lounge / dining room and a separate ‘cranny’ for more hanging out space. Also a well equipped games room. The breakfast gets 10/10! Proper, attentive, personal table service (no buffet!) with a full menu; all the usual breakfast fare plus a few unexpected extras. Healthy options along with the full English. The service was particularly good. I was so impressed, on arrival at breakfast on day 2, the waiting staff remembered my “coffee, toast and marmalade” order from the previous day and just brought it to the table unprompted. A lovely touch and entirely in keeping with the service ethos throughout. And it was proper bread (not the cheap sliced stuff that’s in lots of other hotels) with proper marmalade. A great start to the day. The whole 2 days stay exceeded my expectations. If I were to go back for a stay in Great Malvern, this is where I’d book in."

"Excellent location for visiting Ludlow. Near shops, pubs and the castle. Welcoming friendly staff. Good breakfast though would have appreciated some fresh fruit on offer. Had dinner one night in the restaurant- food and service good. Room clean, beds comfortable. Our room had a balcony which was good except at night as opening the sliding door was the only way to get any fresh air into the room therefore making it extremely hot. Didn’t feel we could leave the door ajar as there was a staircase next to us leading into the carpark therefore felt it was a security risk. Overall though a good stay, would recommend, but don’t choose a room with a balcony!"

"Staff are more than helpful and friendly. Facilities are lovely especially the pool at night time! Only bad thing is the breakfast isn't that nice and you don't get much on your plage. The full English breakfast didn't taste all that nice and it definitely isn't a full breakfast"
