"Such a nice relaxing place and walk away from the pubs and restaurants"

"We had a nice stay at The Pheasant. The staff were helpful, and breakfast was good with lots of choice. The pub is in a beautiful setting, about 5m drive from Kirkby Lonsdale. The room was a good size, and had a comfy bed, although was a bit run down, especially the bathroom, which had peeling plaster, damp and cracks. Toiletries were included and good quality."

"The Red Dragon is advertised as "Has Onsite parking Very Rare for location. That was the reason we booked it. When we arrived we discovered it has zero parking. The manager and staff apologised and advised where we should park. the town is short of longterm parking. We ended up spening a lot of time driving around and paying a lot for overnight parking. The rooms are fine. the breakfast very good, the Staff friendly and helpful"

"Fabulous B&B…traditional pub with great rooms with modern showers. Dinner used local ingredients and was very tasty and generous portion size. Breakfast had nice thick bacon, local sausage and all the usual black pudding, mushroom, tomato, beans and hash browns. Would thoroughly recommend"

"My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful - we ate in the bar on the first night - tasty food and HUGE potion size. The room was large (twin beds) and both the room and bathroom were clean and well maintained - this is an old building which was part of its charm. The breakfast was continental - had everything we needed. We booked a second night which wasn't planned."

"Room not what we were expecting as it wasn’t a cabin but a very damp smelling old and worn lodge in a row of other lodges which were all connected together. However after paying an upgrade on our booking we were allocated a large cabin near the lake"

"This property is extremely poignant as I yes I proudly attended the adjacent school many years ago and therefore it is extremely special very much within my heart. During my proud attendance at the school, this used to be a fully functional agricultural farm. Years later, I understand the property Lee dormant and I’m actually surprised the school didn’t take it over and continue it as an agricultural farm.
