Loved the uniqueness of Cheshire inn and the themed rooms by authors. Had a great breakfast! Also the Fox and Hound Tavern inside and the Basso just a few steps away out the door. The one thing I did miss was having a mini fridge and microwave.

This is a unique hotel. The bed was comfortable and the staff was friendly. However, the hotel is filthy. There are scuff marks on the elevator doors and on the molding throughout the hotel. My bathroom and linens were clean, but the rest of my room needed a deep clean. Also, the breakfast was okay. The danishes were very stale, though.

Our room was very nice. The staff were always willing to be helpful. Breakfast was amazing! With the added perk of Starbucks in a cosy, quaint coffeeshop as part of the Cheshire. Our stay was perfect.

Great stay! The room could have been a tiny bit cleaner but nothing crazy! Mainly stains on the table and some dusty areas but beds and bathrooms were clean! The staff was super nice and the place was nicely decorated.

I really love the Cheshire. This is my go-to hotel whenever I'm in the St. Louis area. I love the themed rooms and the themed decorating and architecture. The hotel has the amenities I want. The room was clean and well-appointed. I will add that there's no mini-fridge in the room, but I didn't need one on this trip. The staff at the front desk are friendly and professional. I recall seeing some of the same personnel that were there at my last visit earlier this year. So nice to see a familiar face behind the counter. I'll be going back!

The Cheshire Inn is a long standing hotel that is very close to Forest Park and Washington University in St Louis (WUSTL). The proximity to WUSTL was my primary reason for staying here. Good: clean comfortable rooms, nice ambiance, staff is friendly and tries to be accommodating, location is excellent with restaurants, grocery store, etc very close by and, as stated above, it is close to WUSTL. Bad: parking was hideous. I think it may have had something to do with the holiday parties at the restaurant that shares the parking lot. What took a star from this review away was the response from the front desk. The lady basically said "too bad" and "look for street parking."

Great Place to Stay

We absolutely loved the Cheshire! It's so beautiful that we were tempted to never leave! My kids loved the breakfasts and the sparkling clean pool. We recommend the Cheshire to everyone and we will definitely be back!

The breakfast was made fresh every day. It is simple but tasty, there’s fruit available at all times you can grab for free. The staff is the friendliest on earth, the room was nice and clean, the hotel itself has a lot of character, each room is named after an English author and they place a book of your author in the room. Location was good, about 15 minutes away from the Arch and all the activities we went to. This city is worth exploring and I will be coming back to stay here in the Cheshire again! Oh. And it’s great to know the place is pet friendly.
