"Just a one night stay on our way up north .
It’s an old building so no lift but full of character . I’m the carers for my brother who is traveling with me & the hotel made sure that we had rooms next to each other .
The rooms are ok , comfortable beds , nice ensuite bathroom but obviously as it’s an older building they aren’t like a travel inn.
The breakfast was excellent & as a vegan the staff went out if their way to make sure that I had a good breakfast that I could eat . My brother...
"A great stop-off en route to the Highlands. Polite and pleasant welcome from Anna on Reception. Decent room with big bed and all one would need for a short stay. Breakfast (hot and cold offerings) sets you up for the day. Good levels of cleanliness, except for cigarette ends in the allocated smoking areas - though this says as much about the people who drop this litter as the hotel itself. Would recommend this hotel."
"Nel complesso una buona esperienza, lo staff è stato gentile e disponibile, aiutandoci a fare il check-in anche se erano presenti dei totem per farlo da sé. La colazione è buona e abbondante."
"We had a wonderful stay at Murrayshall. This was our second visit, having stayed around 18 months ago in the wintertime. It was nice to see the hotel at a different time of year, but the rooms, staff and excellent dinner in Eilos remained the same. A very good stay. The only thing that could have been better was breakfast - it seemed a little disorganised. "
"Meikleour Arms is a unique inn on a large estate (hence "Arms," which refers to the coat of arms of the estate owner. Cozy inn, delicious meals (venison from the estate, for instance), lots of personality. We loved staying here, and fishing with Ian, the "ghillie" who put me onto a beautiful sea trout and taught me how to cast a spey rod. "
