"Lanelay Hall is a beautiful hotel. The decor, the ambience and the attention to detail is exceptional. The staff in all areas are warm and welcoming. The restaurant was a fabulous experience with very impressive food. We also had some of the best cocktails we have ever had with the mixologist taking time to explain the ones on offer. "All the staff were very friendly and everywhere was clean and tidy. If you were later than 09.00 am for breakfast, the choice was not so good than if you had turned up earlier, that was our feeling. The Saturday evening meal was not totally satisfactory because there was not enough staff and we booked a table at 20.30 but did not eat until 21.45. The server did his best but was over powered with the demands of trying to keep up with the orders. Maybe the kitchen staff were understaffed as...

"The room was cleaner than clean, light and airy. The staff were helpful, informative and friendly. I had a small issue with one of the locked window being slightly open, allowing cold air in, but this was dealt with same day by a member of the maintenance with no fuss. The gym and pool were great. There were decent breakfast options all of which was freshly prepared.
