"A nice stay overall but everything is a bit dated Limited help from some staff, training could be better our welcome wasn't great. Went in the gym, water dispenser broken, TV remote didn't work, 1 treadmill broken 1 working, cross trainer broken otherwise ok The suite I booked wasn't a suite it was a cottage away from the hall and facilities didn't really feel part of it. facilities were ok and very spacious but I would have taken a normal room in the hall if I'd known I'd say 3* was enough for...

"Beautiful room, decorated and equipped to high quality. Lovely meal and breakfast. Would recommend as a fab place to stay."

"A friendly hotel just off the M1 and within easy distance of Hardwick Hall"

"Beautiful location. The views of the countryside were amazing. Food was great. Breakfast was very good and we enjoyed dinner there every night."

"The Manor House hotel is located in the centre of Dronfield, in itself a fascinating ex steel town. The hotel has a long history and has been well maintained. My room was clean and well furnished. The bathroom was also clean and well looked after. Breakfast was of a very good standard. Staff were attentive at all times. I was very pleased to stay at the Manor House hotel."

"Fantastic hotel helpful staff clean room nice and quiet and affordable"

"Clean room comfy bed lovely setting, friendly staff"

"A handy alternative to hotel chains. Newly renovated offers large rooms, easy parking and the food is really nice."

"Very welcoming room was excellent quality bed was to die for"

"All staff encountered were extremely helpful, polite and very professional. Fantastic grounds. Good choice for a evening meal as well as a wide selection for breakfast. Will definitely stay again."

"Clean and modern hotel that has focussed on bringing a nice experience for children"

"Great!"

"Had a slow drain on the shower, due to the way the shower isn’t a tray this meant water flooded the rest of the bathroom. Reported to be reception and this wasn’t fixed. Had to use a towel wedged against the shower door and then turn the water down. Asked for more milk sachets (two for a family room with 4 isn’t enough) at reception and got directed to the bar, had a huge wait whilst they faffed around serving just one person - god help anyone if ordering a round then! A bit unclear at...

"Fantastic hotel! Easy walk from the train station, and to other things that you would need to get to like eating and the university. Lovely lobby, they had a workout room which I didn't use but that's a nice extra, and the room itself is very nice. I would definitely stay again"

"Good location Excellent accommodation Staff helpful"

"Overall i lovely experience. Breakfast staff seemed very busy maybe not enough staff. I ordered vegetarian sausages and it took just over 30 mins to arrive. Unfortunately i could not finish it because I had a cab to get. I asked for a hot chocolate which the machine did nit provide but one was made up for us. Overall pleasant service."
