My 2nd message from Carey Lodge which likely contained my door code and some entrance instructions would not open so I had a bit of a hard time figuring it all out while exhausted and in a lot of pain. Though it's an old, historic building, nearly every modern convenience has been added for comfort, practicality, and safety. There's no air conditioning but the windows in the room do open and a ceiling fan moves the air quite well on warmer days/nights. "Great place to stay. Excellent location near English Bay and Stanley park. We got the suite and loved the extra space with children. We rented bikes right across the street and ate at the restaurant. We would stay here again."

"Super outdated BUT the room was super spacious and I genuinely felt safe given the state of the building. I was grateful as the other locations in that area were 3x the price. It had an AC unit, full sized fridge."

"Location of the property is probably the biggest asset of this hotel, walking distance to a variety of restaurants and to Stanley Park with beautiful sceneries and great walking paths. We have to carry our bags up some steps, not much facilities here like a ramp. Bedroom was very spacious and clean, bathroom was Ok. We have no use for the kitchen but is good that was there. I don’t know about parking. Overall, this is nice place to stay for few nights. Happy we did."
