"The garden view was absolutely beautiful and I highly recommend it for anyone considering traveling to Edinburgh. My only issue was that the boiler system kept returning a fault, which meant there was no heat or hot water for any shower connected to it. The staff were amazing and gave me a space heater and fortunately there were other showers that were connected to an electric heating system that were useable. Other than that, the location was perfect! Easy to walk and/or catch the bus to any and all things in Edinburgh. Beautiful neighborhood, incredibly safe and everyone respected the food system. There were tons of shops nearby as well and the WiFi was amazing, along with 2 fully stocked kitchens for use and 2 bathrooms on each of the 3 floors. "

The bad, there is only one working lift and it's very slow. The bed was lumpy, the furniture was worn, the shower door does not seal properly (water runs all over the floor."

"We stayed at Braid Hills Hotel for the first 3 nights of our honeymoon, and had a fantastic stay! Staff were lovely and very accommodating. Location was a bit far from downtown, but easy enough to get everywhere using the bus, and there was a bus stop right out front. Food in the restaurant was good but a little pricey. Hotel and rooms were clean and comfortable. "
