"Very welcoming upon arrival. Clean room and very comfortable bed and room. Loved the location."

"Breakfast was ok it is clean and friendly but I have stayed in several locations in Carmel and like the charm but this is like any other hotel anywhere. Parking was great they had a parking lot so you don’t have to park on the street."

"Really enjoyed our stay here - lovely room with high quality furnishings and linen. The breakfast and happy hour were really great touches! Parking a bit tricky - small spaces and limited. Having said that, we always got parked! Great location in the centre of Carmel! Staff also super helpful arranging to post an item we accidentally left behind. We would absolutely stay again!"

"We had an ocean view. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony. Just know the view has power lines and other buildings in the front of Ocean. Room was nice, but warm and a bit musty smelling. They do have fans to help with the air movement. Loved our morning breakfast delivery. The croissants were amazing! We would stay here again."

"We loved our stay at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel & Spa. We told Diego at check-in that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary during our stay, and the next day we found a bottle of champagne, 2 glass champagne flutes, a box of chocolates, 2 free drink voucher cards, and a hand-written note from Michelle congratulating us on our anniversary. It was nothing but VIP treatment, and we loved it. Thank you to everyone on the staff that made our stay such a memorable one."

"Front desk staff was very nice, held our luggage before our room was ready. They even put our luggage in the room for us, which was very nice. breakfast is ok, nothing special."

"Good location, good service, room is clean. "

"The room pretty old and smelly. Not worth $350/ night. The staff not really friendly as well. Might not come back"

"Breakfast was great. A lot of choice and the omelet bar was awesome and the staff was great. I wish there were a pair of sleeper. The reason I gave 4 for maintenance was that there were mold in shower room, not working lights, and the light over bathroom sink was not bright. Other than that I enjoyed the staying at the hotel."

"Nicely located, safe, quiet"

"We loved the location, the history of the neighborhood, and the businesses nearby."

"We've been staying at the Carmel Wayfarer for years now. I love how dog friendly it is, and I also love the location. It is just a bit away from the really busy part of town and it's a very nice walk downhill to the beach, weaving through the neighborhood and ending up at a path through the dunes that leads to a few flights of stairs down. It's harder going back up, of course, but I just love where it deposits you on the beach. The price is right and I love the upgrades they've made so it's no...

"Room was clean! Staff were friendly. Close to everything. The parking fee is kind of wild but could be worse I guess."
