"Carpet by the window was soaking wet as well as the the back wall. Hotel stated they were full and couldn't move me to a different room. I had prepaid for a king sweet and got a double with soggy wet carpet. The manager has reached out saying they will refund my money and take the room out of circulation until properly fix. Ide like to know how room service didnt notice it...did they actually clean the room?"

"We left at 1 am without sleeping. The check-in process was a bit frustrating because I was trying to hear the girl at the desk over the personal call she had on speaker phone and the guy just kept talking even when she told him she had a customer. Besides the fact that the AC didn't cool, the refrigerator didn't work, the sink and shower didn't drain, the tub was dirty, and the room itself was dirty and had trash left on the floor... The room started out with a faint cigar smell. We reported it to the front desk to make sure they knew it was there when we checked in, and not from us smoking and they offered room spray, but we expected it would fade quickly enough so we just sprayed a bit of my husband's cologne to freshen the air. Instead of fading, it changed to cigarette smell and then to the smell of marijuana, and then back to cigarette while becoming increasingly stronger and stronger. By 1 am, my husband was hoarse and my throat was burning. That's when he went on google and found multiple reviews stating that there was a horrible smell in the rooms and they were charged $150-250 for smoking in a room they didn't smoke in. The person working the front desk obviously didn't care and insisted that she just worked there and could nothing about the issues and there were no other rooms available. We travel extensively for business and we rarely leave a bad review, and we have NEVER left in the middle of the night before this."

"It wasn't made clear to me that there was no breakfast, nor was it pet-friendly! I checked out and checked into the Residence right across the lot. It cost me a little more but I didn't have much choice because I had 2 rooms and had to make sure my guest were comfortable with their stay."

"I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Southaven, Mississippi over the weekend and had a great experience overall. I spoke with Marshall Collins, the front desk supervisor, and she was absolutely awesome. The front desk staff were also very helpful and welcoming throughout my stay. Housekeeping was excellent. Whenever we asked for extra towels or additional pillows, they brought them right away with no issues at all. The hotel is currently undergoing some renovations. I believe the room we stayed in had already been renovated, which was nice. My only suggestion would be improving the beds and pillows—the pillows could definitely be fluffier and the mattresses a little softer for added comfort. Unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to try the breakfast. It wasn’t included with my booking, but the breakfast I saw looked really good. One of the workers showed me her plate and it looked delicious! She even told me that the two cooks who work the morning shift do a great job, so I’ll definitely keep that in mind next time. We also weren’t able to use the indoor pool because it was being renovated during our stay, but it’s great that the hotel offers one. Another big plus is the location. The hotel is conveniently located near shopping areas in Southaven and right off the bypass, which made getting around very easy. Overall, my stay was lovely, and I would definitely stay here again. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area."
