"The place was great! Maybe not for everyone but perfect for anyone with kids or just looking for something a little different. We are seniors but have done a lot of camping and this was glamping at its best. We picked the yurt which had an outdoor kitchen and an external bathroom. Everything felt really authentic yet still very modern. It all was just there as one would expect from a nice hotel but presented in a different way. Kind of a cowboy camp or depression era type of a kitchen outside...

"Kaikoura was one of the most memorable stops on our New Zealand trip. The snow capped mountains over the sea are absolutely stunning. The staff at Kaikoura Beach motel were so friendly and communicative. We were traveling by train without a car so we opted to rent their bicycles to explore the coastline and the seal colony. "Fabulous spacious updated room right on the esplanade. The kitchenette had everything we needed, the bathroom was beautifully appointed and the king bed was very comfortable. I was particularly impressed with the two Nordic lounge chairs - a very comfortable luxury. The manager was particularly helpful with great recommendations and helping to arrange things.
