"Friendly staff, was able to have and early check-in. Tidy Rooms and plenty of space for bags and can store under the bed. Great selection for breakfast buffet and nice atmosphere dining room was also bar area. Only slight negative which can't be helped due to age/ design of building is thst the lifts are a bit cramped especially when there's 2 of you with full luggage but you can make it work. Definitely recommend as a place to stay and would stay again if ever back in UK and visiting York and easy walking distance to town, pubs, train station etc."

"everything was excellent, the bed just wasnt comfortable, we couldnt sleep properly the mattress was too hard , and very thin pillows, but we would bring our extra ones if it meant booking again, as that was all we could say was wrong for us, the view and everything else including staff and food was 100% definitely recommend to anyone "
