"This was a great place to stay for our south coast adventures. The rooms were spacious and beds really comfortable. It was so convenient to have the restaurant on site for breakfast and after a long day of travel, clean up and have dinner. We really enjoyed our conversations with the staff, especially Lucas."

"The rooms were clean and cozy. Very comfortable beds, and the way the bunks are designed it feels like you’re in your own private pod! Unfortunately, I did not catch the name of the owner, but he gave our group a warm welcome, telling stories of the property’s history and giving recommendations of things to do in the area. The kitchen was large with multiple cooking stations and plenty of seating (also very clean and up to date with all the necessary appliances, pots, pans, dishes etc.). Bathrooms were clean and modern. The whole property was gorgeous, very new building, peaceful, it was a truly restful atmosphere. The view from our window was beautiful and we saw northern lights from the property. About 30-40 min it es outside Vik it was a good midpoint spot for seeing more of the southwest and not go too far from Reykjavík. Would absolutely stay there again next time we’re in Iceland. One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in!"

"Really lovely stay at Horgsland Cottages. Incredible location and very easy to find. Place was very cosy. In the top room, we weren't able to adjust the heating and so it was abit too hot for us at night, but the other rooms had indiviual temperature dials. Nice convenience store in reception where you could buy coffee for the machine, drinks and snacks."

"Room had weird smell, very little privacy even with curtains pulled. Staff were very nice though "
