"We are a group of 4 moms who stayed here for one night on a 3-day tour. We arrived after a long day of hiking and site seeing and we pulled up to a beautifully well-kept and modern hotel. We were quite hungry when we arrived and the front desk promptly check us in and called the on-site restaurant to find a time for dinner that worked for us. I would recommend booking a reservation in advance to ensure you’re not stuck since there isn’t really much around there.
The rooms were perfect; clean, modern and very comfortable with two single beds that we could easily separate. The blinds were black-out which is super important in the summer months in Iceland.
Dinner at the on-site restaurant was absolutely delicious and such a lovely atmosphere.
After dinner we went down to the hot tub area and enjoyed a sauna and hot tub. It was just what we needed after a long day.
The next morning we enjoyed the buffet breakfast (paid in advance through Expedia) and it was impressive with a large selection of foods, drinks, coffees etc. it was the perfect way to start another long day of exploring! Well worth the money.
Highly recommend Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon and would absolutely stay again!"
"Absolutely stunning hotel in the most breathtaking location! The staff were delightful and incredibly helpful. The food at the restaurant was superb and the hot tubs and sauna were amazing. Everything was spotless and every detail was thought of. A treat to stay there!"
"Upon arriving we realized it was situated directly beside a graveyard. The location behind it is nice tho.. mountainous. Breakfast was below average and the room had 1 window that faced what I can only imagine was a staff area between the building. For close to $400 a night we expected more. Staff were friendly and the room was clean."
"It's the cheapest one closest to Glacier Lagoon. They are doing construction right now. The dinner food was 5 star, the best part. The room, #18 was 2 star; pretty unattractive, no decor. It's 2026, felt like 1956.Our friends had one of the new cabins which was pretty nice inside. The shower water pressure was about 5 psi, pretty disappointed."
"Really nice hotel, not so many amenities, but staff was super friendly, upgrade the room for us without asking, spacey room, comfortable bed and nice view on our patio."
