Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon

"Top class hotel with great food and very helpful staff. The breakfast buffet was awesome but the set up can be improved. The walking space is narrow, with barely enough spece to squeeze by if someone is picking up food from the buffet station. We booked a room labeled as 'Glacier view'. In July of 2026, we couldn't see the glacier from our room. The outside view is still very picturesque. All in all, I recommend this hotel."

"Super clean and very comfy. The kitchen was very nice with everything you need for cooking. The only thing that was a bit confusing was the check in process, because the reception was in another location. It would be helpful if there were signs and they just emailed you the code to the key box with your key, and room number, rather than going offsite. Other than that, very much loved the cute cottage."

"Great location with beautiful views and a good breakfast. The receptionist explained everything in detail and made check-in easy. There are two dining options: one inside the hotel and another directly opposite it. Skaftafell Base Camp is nearby, and Jokulsarlon is only about a 45 minute drive away. The hotel is located in a very convenient location, making it an excellent base for exploring the area."

"Such a great space!! The sleeping loft could have used a curtain to help block out the sunlight but other than that it was a great space! Loved the waterfall behind the house and easy drive to the glacier lagoon."

"A wonderful location with its own waterfall and bridge walk. The host was extremely helpful with suggestions, directions and made our stay easy and enjoyable. I would not hesitate to stay there again."
