very nice and clean. building seems fairly recently renovated, so everything in the room still looked sharp. other reviewers think the rooms are a bit small, but I think it's more than enough for solo travellers like me. minor negative is that the walls seem thin/not enough soundproofing: I can hear my neighbour brushing their teeth and drying their hair late in the evening. quite a lot of noise also seeped through the door.

It was my second stay in this hotel. The room was sparkly clean. While there is no window in the room the ventilation is very good and it did not bother me. Bed is firm, which I love. There are lots of food options nearby and it's only slightly less than 10minutes walk to PLQ and Paya Lebar MRT. I recommend for a budget friendly stay in Singapore.

The size of the bedroom was just ridiculous. We couldn't even walk properly as there wasn't enough space between the bed and the walls so we had to put the bags on the bed trying to move around. Also, the location was just disgusting. No good food around, people just judged looking at us like we weren't welcome there. The transport was a nightmare. We tried to catch a taxi but no one stopped so we had to ask the receptionist to call a taxi for us. Definitely was a very unpleased experience.

Wonderful hotel
We were able to check in early after a 17 hour flight! They offered and they were just amazing giving us water and fruit on arrival. So very polite and professional. Great value and conveniently located!

Good value, but no amenities
No real amenities or facilities to use. . .basic hotel to sleep, shower, and stay. No shuttle for the airport. Neighborhood is walkable but the hotel is not near a bus or train line so we had to use Grab (Uber) to get everywhere. Front Desk Staff: some were very friendly and helpful, others were not. Our room faced the alley, so no view and green mold on the exterior of the window. Lots of noise in the alley in the mornings due to deliveries and staff went outside to smoke throughout the day/night.

We stayed 4nights at hotel classic and had a very pleasant stay. Room was very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was ultra clean and hot water worked perfectly well. Staff was extremely helpful. They accomodated a super late (1am) check in instead of our planned 10pm check in. Not only that they allowed us a late checkout and luggage storage facility after checkout till we tick off last few attractions. When we came to pick up our luggages our phone batteries were dead. Again they helped us with charging our phones and arranging taxis, despite the fact that we checked out good 8hrs ago. There were a number of food outlets at walking distance selling food at very affordable prices. We will always come back to Hotel Classic if we visit Singapore again.

Great hotel for a budget. Staff are all super helpful and locationis so Singapore. Remember to hit the clean our room button by the door for room service, and beer is really expensive here so plan ahead if possible.

Solo trip, spent a night after my late night flight. Firstly, the value for money was commendable. Situated in a peaceful area, it provides a welcome respite from busier locales. However, do note the hotel faces a narrow, one-directional street. This occasionally causes minor access issues, especially when cars are parked along the side. My late-night check-in at 3 am was seamless, thanks to a professional receptionist who was on duty. The room itself was sufficient and notably clean, ideal for resting. A small drawback was the slightly off-putting odor from the pillow cover, something the hotel might want to address. For food, you'll appreciate the nearby hawker centre, a short walk away, serving local delicacies. Overall, a decent choice for a short stay, especially if you're budget-conscious.

Solid Budget Hotel in Geylang
The hotel was located in Geylang, about a 10 minute walk from the nearest MRT station. The hotel was decent - to stay within my budget, I reserved a room without windows, so what I got was as expected. The room was relatively spacious and met our needs. The hotel provided water in the rooms, and supplied complimentary green apples at the front desk, which I enjoyed. The room was equipped with a fridge but not a safe. The bathroom was adequate but the sink leaked a bit, however I enjoyed the shower which had hot water and good water pressure. Wifi was also good, except the internet provider had technical issues one morning, so while the wifi didn't work, I couldn't blame the hotel. Overall, the hotel was fine and was fairly budget, which is what I was looking for. It could have been closer to the MRT but that wasn't that big of a deal. Would recommend to others, especially if planning to explore Geylang.

I had a terrible experience with the Hotel and Orbitz. Communication to cancel the booking without penalty was granted, so I booked another hotel for my stay. Yet when I asked about when the refund would come in about 3 days later without seeing anything, they still charged me full price for the booking and refused to issue a refund. Spoke to Orbitz and one agent was extremely unhelpful as they failed to acknowledge any fault about their communication even though e-mail proof of refund was given. They simply told me to contact the hotel, which I did. The hotel has yet to respond to not even one of my e-mails. Extremely disappointed by both parties.

Staff were great
Staff were exceptional, but room and bathroom were rather small. Room on the ground floor is very noisy and my sleep was interrupted by other guests moving in and out.

The hotel is in a convenient location and is a good price. Checkin was a pain as they had oversold my room type and told me I needed to contact Expedia to fix it. They let me check in while it was getting resolved, but I’m not sure how them overselling a room became my issue to fix.

We were originally given a room with no windows, which was an unpleasant experience. On inquiring, the staff kindly gave us a slightly larger room with two big windows, which was a welcome change. All staff were super friendly and helpful.

I liked the service provided by staff. I was warmly welcomed and a room was offered for early check-in. At the time of check-out staff member call me a taxi and helped to carry a heavy bag. The room was quiet and a bathroom was spacious. I would like to find tea and coffee bags on offer instead of unhealthy tea and coffee mixes. Quantity should be 6-8 bags for two clients.
