I booked it as a 10 year anniversary get away for my husband and I and it was a good get away, we had never stayed at a bed and breakfast before and it was good.
If you’re looking for an authentic Victorian B&B experience, full of period antiques, stained glass and loads of charm, the 2439 Fairfield will surely not disappoint. This four bedroom inn has uniquely decorated cozy bedrooms each with its own private bath. We stayed in the Vicki Gail with its large king bed that was oh so comfy with super-soft Ralph Lauren floral sheets. What a delight to climb into this bed after a day of exploring Shreveport and taking in a concert at the nearby Shreveport Municipal Memorial Auditorium. The full private bath included a jacuzzi tub and pedestal sink. We thoroughly enjoyed a full hot breakfast with scrambled eggs, sautéed mushrooms, sausage and links, two types of English muffins with Mayhaw jelly or pear butter, freshly cut fruit and cheese, delectable banana bread, two types of juice, coffee, and a variety of teas. And if that wasn’t enough to bust our buttons, Bryan brought out the fried pie—OMG, they are incredible! We opted for the apple and the coconut and will look forward to trying both the lemon and the blackberry the next time we want a romantic weekend away.
I will never stay anywhere else but here when visiting Shreveport. I had a great weekend. The home is incredible. The owner has spent most of his adult life collecting antiques and every room in the house is filled with them. You could spend an entire weekend just exploring the home and he give you free reign to explore.
It's also in a neighborhood that is full of 19th century homes and they are all beautiful.
It's also close to so many places.
Just a really relaxing weekend.
My friend was planning on going on a trip to Louisiana, and asked me to tag along the day before he was leaving. He hadn't planned a place to stay, so I thought I would surprise him. I was looking up B&B's online, found 2439, and immediately knew this is where we were meant to stay.
We didn't plan on the trip being a pleasant one, so I knew we would need to be in an environment that would make us feel comfortable and at home. We found it to be just what we needed. Brian was incredibly welcoming and informative. We were overwhelmed by the decor and how well the house had aged. Jimmy and Brian have taken really good care of it. The history behind it is amazing. I genuinely loved everything about my stay, I would recommend this B&B to anyone.
I just want to thank Brian and Jimmy for making our trip much more meaningful and peaceful.
Took my wife here for her birthday. Had a wonderful time, especially visiting with the owners each morning at breakfast. Great accommodations, food and conversation! This was our fourth or fifth stay here. Always enjoyable.
Quiet, beautiful period furniture and decor, great breakfast and conversation. Attention to detail and comfort of guests. We will stay again. One of the best we've stayed in.
We visited during a very cold part of Dec.2017. Our rooms were very cozy and our hosts were very welcoming and friendly and full
Of pleasant conversation over a most delicious breakfast. The home and our rooms were beautifully restored and decorated. We regretted only staying one night. This will be our place to stay in Shreveport from now on.
I would recommend this place a thousand times over any place I have ever been to. It feels like home and the everyone is extremely nice. I only stayed for one night, and I swear it was an experience by itself. I didn't want to leave the place at all. Also, the breakfast was wonderful and the atmosphere was so breathtaking.

I want to thank Jimmy and Brian for being such wonderful hosts... and making awesome tomato grits and fried pies for breakfast.. yummy... see ya next time we're in town..
A wonderful experience in the middle of Shreveport. We just stayed one night but Brian and Jimmy are great hosts. Room is cozy and a wonderful bed ensures restful night. Can't go wrong here.
My wife and I decided to try a B&B for the first time vs a hotel room. (We love our privacy) NO REGRETS!!!! This was absolutely the best stay we've ever had! A Bed & Breakfast was wonderful! The turn of the century home was gorgeous and filled with antiques for various parts of the world. The room and bed was very comfortable, the owner was friendly and gracious, and the breakfast was fantastic. (we didn't eat again until 4:00 that afternoon. If you're ever in the Shreveport/Bossier area and looking for a place to stay this is it!!!!!
This was the first time my husband and I stayed at a Bed & Breakast and we now fear that our expectations have been set so high that no other place will compare to 2439 Fairfield. The home is a living tribute to Jimmy's life and travels. Each piece in this beautiful historic home has its own story and I look forward to going back and hearing more. Jimmy and Brian are gracious, warm, welcoming hosts whose breakfast was a culinary delight. (The tomato grits and homemade jellies were out of this world!) We could have visited with our hosts and the other guests all day. Overall a most delightful stay and one we can't wait to experience again. Thank you Jimmy and Brian! Y'all are amazing!
This place is amazing beautiful home. The bed was very nice and comfortable. The owner very friendly and cooks homemade breakfast in the mornings. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Shreveport.
While we only had reservations for one night due to holiday travel to visit with family, we wished we could have stayed longer. Everything was absolutely perfect and we cannot wait to stay here again in the near future!

I had an absolutely splendid time at this property. Everything was lovely, tasteful and comfortable. They went out of their way to accommodate my gluten free diet. The staff was delightful. You could not ask for more!
This was our first stay here and it exceeded all expectations. Not only did we enjoy the room, but the breakfast was outstanding, and the owner treated us like family. We will definitely be repeat customers.
