"It’s snowing when we’re here. The view from the room was picture perfect - snow-covered mountain, trees, and stream bank. The hotel is super clean and comfortable. All amenities are available. The room is spacious for two. The private onsen is good. The late night ramen was very good. The Japanese breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The shuttle service between the hotel and Shirakawago bus station is available and convenient. We would love to stay again."

The main building was covered in scafolding / maintenance which was a shame but the public bath was excellent. The shuttle service was excellent and service at dinner impeccable. Someone mentioned bugs and I thought they were being dramatic, but no, there are stink bugs everywhere!!! If that bothers you then probably not...

There are only 10 rooms or so, so you are not fighting a crowd. Breakfast is more than enough to get you through the start of the day and...
