The staff at this Ryokan are excellent in terms of their service, friendliness and professionalism. The excellent service began right after we booked, then continued in-person when we were picked up at Takayama Station on arrival and sadly ended when we were dropped off at the car rental when leaving Takayama. In between, the hospitality has been top notch and the dinner and breakfast were of very high quality. Our room also had the motorised bed and the corner view overlooking the river was a nice and calming way to start our morning. Onsen is also open-air, which is an experience itself when during Winter. I would not hesitate to book this place again in future.

Great Location & Room

Great location especially for festivals and old town. The best room, friendly staff, public onsen, really enjoyed traditional breakfast. Make sure the hotels helps with dinner reservations, they did not offer for us and a lot of restaurants book up.

We loved our stay here! Transportation from and to the train station was provided which gave us one less thing to worry about. We booked with the dinner and breakfast option and both were spectacular. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely stay again!

Excellent location and service

Amazing stay. Service is excellent, especially the shuttle service between the hotel and the train station. The staff are so obliging. Location is good as it is within walking distance to the old town and most restaurants/cafes and shops.

Lovely place

Lovely hotel within walking distance of the old town. The staff are excellent and super helpful. I used the spa one afternoon and had it to myself. We had a room with a view of the river. Highly recommend if staying in Takayama.

Super friendly staff and had English speaking staff. Food was fantastic and gave a variety of options for the meal course. Was close to the shopping and sake districts, so you can walk around and see what there is to offer from Takayama. Free shuttle bus to and from Takayama station.

Perfect stay, great location in Takayama

Wonderful hotel, Ryokan. I used the spa, got a massage, used onsen- bath. All clean and lovely. Location was perfect, walking distance to the red bridge, old town, temples, etc. we even walked to the Hida Folk Village. There were many good restaurants, just a bit of a hassle always needing reservations. Overall it was great, and a beautiful town

Beautiful stay.

The hotel service was very fine. Staffs are very friendly. Hotel restaurant was very good the Japanese style breakfast was excellent. The room is a bit small but it was clean and convenient to upstairs hot spring. Location is good. Hotel shuttle bus made our stay much easier. Thanks to all the hard work.

the staff are all very nice and helpful. the breakfast is nice and the location closes to the “old street”. I like the vibes here. but the onsen is not small. if you eager for having a great onsen, it may be fulfill your expectation.
