Modern, luxe splendor

As always, wonderful stay at the Park Hyatt. Beautifully designed hotel with a modern, luxe sensibility. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. Dining is top notch with a very good Cantonese restaurant and a morning buffet that is inventive. Workout room and pool are great. Love the artwork featured throughout.

During a one-night stay at this hotel while in transit from Japan, we were treated to breathtaking nighttime views, with our room overlooking the Shanghai Pearl Tower, adding an extra layer of specialness to our stay. This is the worst Park Hyatt I have ever visited. The building was poorly designed. Due to its height the outer wall produces a loud bang every few minutes, making it impossible to sleep. Originally we booked two nights. We had to run away after the first night. They promised a refund which never happened. I think this is also the cheapest Park Hyatt I had stayed at. No wonder its price is so low because customers won’t likely come back. Avoid at all costs.
