Gold One is a very nice boutique hotel located on south shore about one hour drive from Jeju airport. The rooms were large with comfortable beds and elegant, spacious bathrooms. Our room had a beautiful view of the ocean. The breakfast was comprehensive with made to order steak and eggs. Parking for our rental car was free and easy. The staff was exceptionally pleasant and helpful. We did not use the pool but it looked very nice. The trail from the hotel through the Secret Garden was an unexpected highlight. The location was reasonably central for touring sites to the west and east but travel is slow due to speed cameras on most roads.

Staff were very accomodating and helpful. Beds were comfortable without being too plush or hard. Pool was heated when we stayed there (April) which was nice in the cool weather, but got a little stuffy the longer we stayed. The shallow kid pool wasnt heated so we cooled down there. No toiletries or amenities provided (except body wash, shampoo, conditioner) [as per South Korean laws and regulations]

Very clean room and amenities. However I booked a room for 5 persons and then was told I had to pay for an extra bed. Makes no sense. Bring some black tape to put over the blue light for the AC.

2 nights here would have been enough as public transport difficult for English speakers. The hotel was okay but felt there was little atmosphere- not many guests staying while I was there. The room felt odd like there was some furniture missing and the jacuzzi, although pleasant was also a bit strange. The views were stunning. The setting walking through the secret garden to join the Olle trail was beautiful & well worth staying here just for that.

우풍도 쌘곳인데 난방이 안되서 밤새 떨면서 자서 결국 감기왔어요… 중앙난방이라고 온도가 안올라간다는말은 핑계같고(왜냐면 첫날은 진짜 뜨거운 바람이 계속 나왓거든요) 그냥 방 변경해주기 싫어서 온열기 갖다주고 그걸로 자라고 하는데 난방 자체가 에어컨 바람이 나와서 너무 추웠습니다 꺼도 춥고 켜도 춥고… 그덕에 감기걸려서 연말을 너무 힘들게 보내게 됬네요 다시 안가고 싶습니다 솔직히 노후된 시설도 좋게보면 좋게 볼수 있는데 너무 불편함을 겪어서 다 별로에요

The staff was really nice and available 24hrs. The room was very spacious, clean, and luxurious. They also provide free laundry self-service with complimentary laundry detergent. Be warned that the machine (dryer mainly) is on the small side (in comparison to the ones in US at least) so you should only wash thinner pieces of clothing that dries quickly with it. Otherwise, you can also utilize the drying racks they peovide in the rooms. Overall, really enjoyed our stay.
