"I’ve stayed here a few times over the years, so it’s not really that bad, the pool is never usable, the breakfast is a joke, the rooms are worn and the bathroom is especially worn out. Why do I stay there? Price, convenience and the staff. The place is right off the highway, quiet and safe feeling, the price is the best I could find for Kentucky Derby week, and the staff is friendly and helpful. "One of the worst motels I’ve stayed in a long time. If I could give it 0 stars I would. The lady checking us in was very unhelpful. They require a $50 CASH deposit which is absolutely ridiculous. They could have communicated this to us before we arrived via message on this app but instead had to go to an ATM and get cash out and eat the ATM fee. On top of that we booked a king room. She gave us our keycards and we went to the room to discover a double queen. We returned to the desk to ask about it and was told they only had a double queen because we had 2 dogs with us. Which is fine I guess but could have been COMMUNICATED to us before we went to the room. The motel is super run down and the room smelled stale and like mildew. Everything is old and damaged. The TV remote did not work at all. Had to manually change channels. The curtain wasn’t long enough to cover the sliding door so we had to put a sheet up to block the sunlight in the morning and the building lights at night. The pool was fine but no towels. Breakfast was super basic. The only good thing was the onsite restaurant. Food was decent and the staff were very friendly."

"We stayed two days at this hotel. Breakfast both days was well organized, at least as good or better as other similar hotels and the area for eating was much cleaner than other hotels. The bedding was comfortable and the room darkening curtains helped us sleep on the schedule we preferred. I used the coin operated washer and dryer to get some laundry done and that was extremely helpful and convenient. The service desk had quarters in exchange for dollars. This hotel has close proximity to convenience and package liquor store as well as easy access to Louisville. For the price, this place can’t be beat."
