"Before booking, the hotel photos looked very appealing and influenced our decision. However, upon arrival we were disappointed, as the property felt old and in need of renovation. Despite paying a high rate, we were allocated a basement room near the staff area and opposite the laundry room, which was far from pleasant. The bathroom was dated, and the shower produced a loud humming noise, indicating poor maintenance. There was also no in-room phone to contact reception, which meant going down...

"Hotel was great, very clean and staff were very friendly. Absolutely amazing ocean views from the hotel with plenty of tables and chairs for people to use. Only negative is the steps leading to our room we're very deceiving which caused myself and friend to misstep many times. The top stair should color coordinate with the remaining stairs (have a black strip) so it does not blend with he top floor. See picture for reference. Otherwise, was a beautiful hotel."

"I’ve stayed at this hotel many years ago and finally came back to Laguna beach and was excited to stay here again (I forgot the name but seeing pictures helped) and was not disappointed. We got the corner room downstairs and thought it was perfect for a little small family getaway. The front desk girls were absolutely so sweet and helpful that it made the experience all the better. We will be back again!"

"The room was very tight and the shower flooded the drain was dirty. Also there was not enough parking for property occupancy. The swing front desk young lady was polite but the day shift young lady upon arrival was not very welcoming as she seen us and stepped into the back. I wouldn’t stay here again."
