"The hotel appears to have been recently renovated, and the rooms are modern, clean, and well maintained. The location is excellent and within walking distance of many attractions, restaurants, and the waterfront. However, my overall experience was mixed. The staff were polite but not particularly proactive. Important information was not provided unless I specifically asked for it, which made the stay less convenient than expected. The room itself had a few design issues. Surprisingly, there were no towel hooks or bars in the bathroom, making it inconvenient to hang towels. The air conditioning was also very noisy, which affected the quality of sleep. Parking was another disappointment. At over CAD $50 per night, it is already quite expensive, and guests with electric vehicles must pay an additional fee to charge them. I also paid extra for a city-view room with a balcony. Unfortunately, the balcony overlooked the hotel's pool and gym rather than offering the city view I had expected, which was disappointing considering the additional cost. Overall, the hotel has a great location and attractive, updated facilities, but there are several areas where the guest experience could be improved. With more attentive service, better room functionality, and clearer room descriptions, it would offer much better value."

"All the staff we dealt with at the inn were helpful and very friendly. The room was comfortable and very clean, although we had trouble figuring out how to ease back the air conditioning a bit and found it very cold at times. The location is convenient and we enjoyed our stay. The restaurant attached is great too."

"Here’s a polished review you could post: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We absolutely loved our stay at Moxy Downtown Halifax! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was unlike any hotel we’ve stayed at. It’s modern, fun, and has so much personality. The lobby is such a great space to hang out, with Jenga, Pac-Man, and other games that make it feel more like a social lounge than just a hotel. You even get a complimentary welcome drink when you check in, which is such a nice touch. We also took advantage of happy hour at the bar, where cocktails were half price, and the food was perfect for an afternoon snack or a late-night bite. The rooms were spotless, modern, spacious enough for four people, and had everything we needed. One of our favourite features was the self-serve communal closet stocked with extra towels, pillows, toiletries, steamers, and other essentials. If you need anything else, the staff are more than happy to help. The complimentary extras throughout the day really made our stay stand out. There was fresh trail mix available in the afternoon, lemonade and fruit punch to help yourself to, and complimentary tea and coffee every morning. The location is also fantastic—just a short, enjoyable walk to the waterfront, with plenty to see along the way. Every little detail has been thoughtfully designed, from the stylish décor to the fun elevator experience. Everything feels intentional, modern, and incredibly well put together.
