"A very clean and comfortable room. Great shower with plenty of good hot water. Easy parking available. Appreciated the fact there was no carpeting on the floor. Bare walls with absolutely no art hung whatsoever was odd and added to a kind of industrial vibe. Restaurant is very good with excellent service, food and prices. Motel is located in the north end of Halifax so it's a bit off the beaten track for those whose main attractions will be downtown. However area is well-serviced by Metro...

"Good parking lot"

"The hotel staff eere very friendly and helpful. We were able to leave our luggage at the reception after check out. The hotel was clean but a bit old. The location is not ideal, while it is in a safe area, getting to some attractions can be a long and tiring ealk if you are not renting a car or using public transportation. Overall, it offered good value for money and was a solid budget friendly option."

"This hotel was extremely maintained, clean and friendly staff. Denny’s and one bar is attached to the hotel. Tim’s, A&W and a gas station is a 2 min walk from the hotel. Lots of things to do or places to dine in only a short drive away. Highly recommend this hotel!"

"The Lord Nelson Hotel is so beautiful but the staff were excellent in answering all our questions. So centrally located. Hotel rooms were comfy, had all the bells + whistles we've come to expect in a hotel stay. Complimentary water so appreciated. Indoor parkade by a mall? How perfect! We will be back again someday we hope."

"Be aware of the room you are choosing. We stayed in Aft Castle room 6. The online pictures show living areas, kitchens etc but we had one very small room and small bathroom, with no additional living areas, not representative of the photos. If you have mobility issues, this is not your room, as it is three floor walk up. As well, there is very limited parking on site, with overflow parking one block away."

"This was an amazing property had everything we needed. Loved the adult swim from 10-11pm and a full kitchen. The only thing is to see most attractions around the Halifax area you need to rent a car."

"We had amazing experience of staying during our vacation. Only thing we didn’t like is serving meat beside beans as I’m vegetarian, I would appreciate having all non veg items served separately."
