The rooms r housed in old abode of century in age. the meticulous design strikes a fine balance between the past and present, adding a touch of character to the whole place. While the place has been modernised, preserving the rich heritage of the past, there r no lifts to the rooms or tv. It is a good place to be in tune with yourself after 5 pm since surrounding areas r relatively quiet. That said, the basic amenities r sufficient to keep one comfortable. The generous and free mini bar is a compensation for all these shortfalls. Limited parking at the premises and it is of distance from the main reception lobby. Prob 2 mins or 3 mins walk. The staff r excellent n service oriented.

We only stayed one night. We had a large, modernized Edo-era two-story apartment (bedroom, dining and living; toilet and soaking tub/shower) with a private courtyard view in a building separate from our friends in Sasayama Castle Town. We could walk throughout the town with our friends and visit each other's full-sized apartments (complimentary shuttle also available with pre-arrangement). Yukata and jacket to meals and can be worn in town. Ours had Western beds and full private toilet/shower and private soaking tub with garden view. We stayed in early April and Sasayama Castle had a festival and the town was full of cherry trees in full bloom, especially along the river. We should have allowed more time to experience the many shops and tradesmen and Edo history and demonstrations throughout the Castle Town. It was a convenient train ride from Osaka with hotel shuttle, but accommodates driving very well. It worked well in combination with a side trip to Kinosaki Onsen between Osaka and Kyoto by train. The Ryokan meals (breakfast is included, we also bought the dinner) were fantastic and more than we could eat. Emphasis on creative uses of locally sourced in season meats and vegetables including rice and locally crafted pottery. Very creative delicious dishes. The chefs are top of the line! The alcohol and drink selection featured world class local and international options. Several of the staff speak English very well and foreigners and families are welcome.

古民家再生のひとつの方法としてまちに分散して残っている古民家をホテルの客室として活用するコンセプトは非常に共感します ともすれば、空調、水回りの設備等新築のホテルより劣ることになりやすいですが、うまくデザインされており不便は感じませんでした また、食事が素晴らしく、アンティークな雰囲気の中美味しくいただきました ありがとうございました

Our Villa was immaculate and it felt like a second home. Check in was at the main building which is a beautiful periodic house, it also houses the western restaurant. The staffs were well trained and friendly, to my surprise, they could speak fluent English.

田舎のおじいちゃんおばあちゃんの家

部屋では田舎のおじいちゃん・おばあちゃんの家へ泊まりに行ったような懐かしい雰囲気を味わいました。もちろんお部屋もバス・トイレもきれいですし、部屋に置いてあるものにも好感を持ちました。また私たちは大人ばかりでしたが、食事で一緒だった子どもちゃん達への若いスタッフさんの対応も見ていて気持ちよかったです。食事もとてもおいしかったです。ちょうどデカンショ祭りの日だったのでなおさら印象がいいです。初めて利用される時はONAE棟かSAWASIRO棟がいいかもしれません。
