Unfortunately after asking if there was hot water, we were told thait just has to run for a while, but there has been no hot water, or even warm water for our showers. Great staff and location. Is very convenient for walking in Zona Colonial.

It’s a Beautiful, small, quiet hotel in the old city of Santo Domingo. Staff is very friendly and help full. A few minutes Walk to “El Conde” and other points of interest. In the area you find a Great variety of bars and restaurants. Price is very reasonable.

Honky Tonk Colonial is a great place to stay

This hotel is in a great location and it’s essentially brand new—fully renovated.The people here moved over from Portes 9, which was also terrific, and they’re very nice and attentive. The breakfast is excellent, the beds are comfortable, and the shower had hot water whenever I turned it on. I will definitely stay here again.

The Ladies who welcomed me were exceptional. Truly appreciated as I was a little nervous on my first visit to Santo Domingo. The location could not have been better. The accommodations and breakfast superb. I will definitely come back again.

This is my second year staying at this hotel. The staff(especially Norca) is great. They're kind and respectful. I have no complaints. As long as the old guy that opens the door for me at 3am and Norca are here, I'll be staying here again the next time I plan a vacation to the zona colonial.
