My stay at Hostal Talamanca was okay. The washroom had hair all over it so I am not giving full stars for cleanliness although it was overall - good for what you pay for. The area is perfect and convenient and if you are looking for no frills and somewhere just to lay your head I would recommend this property. The room was also quite hot with no control over the AC. Unfortunately I was locked out of the property at 9AM before the check out time with my bags in the lobby and nearly missed my flight as there is no staff on site - so be careful when leaving the property on the day of check out.

Location is amazing and can easily access all Calas, it’s close to all of the best restaurants and is so central. The self-check in process is flawed. I signed a check in form prior to arrival but was not given the passcode to enter the property nor the room. Had another guest not had left the door on the latch we would have been locked out of the property and would not have means of contacting the “reception”. We did not get new towels during our stay at all and our room was not serviced during our 5 night stay. My understanding was this would be done after 4 nights. There was a flood during our stay, we were woken up by shouting at 5am and the police knocking the door down to turn off the shower that was left on. Water flooded the whole building and our room, there was no acknowledgement of this and no new towels or cleaning still. The AC got switched off periodically, we kept hearing what sounded like someone playing with a switch board which would in turn cut off power to our AC during key hours in the day, this made it hard to sleep at times and was frustrating. Coincidentally our water was also cut off 30 mins before check out time (I like to hope this is a coincidence). I feel this could have also caused the flood (perhaps water was turned off and someone left shower tap open?) Overall the cheap price of this property is reflected in the facilities. It’s okay for a few nights but nothing more especially if you value a clean room and a good sleep.

Zimmer war sauber, leider fehlten einige grundlegenden Dinge wie Handtuchhalter und auch einen kleinen Kühlschrank fänd ich gut. Personal haben wir gar nicht zu Gesicht bekommen. Die Lage ist toll. Leider hat das dazugehörige Restaurant offensichtlich geschlossen und die Außenanlage sieht leider echt nicht gepflegt aus. Trotz allem würde ich es empfehlen, wenn man keine allzu hohen Ansprüche hat.

Top locatie: direct aan het centrum van Cala D’Or, en 2 min lopen van het strand! Niet de beste bedden en slechte kussens. Airco helaas maar beperkt beschikbaar tussen 23.00-08.00 en 15.00-18.00u.

Hotel molto comodo per la bellissima spiaggia di cala d'or, ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo per la zona. Unici punti a sfavore il bagno datato ma con tutto il necessario per una buona vacanza e la mancanza di un piccolo frigo. Nonostante questo ci siamo trovati bene e lo consiglierei agli amici.

Close to the beach, shops, restaurants and café's.

Our visit at Hostal Talamanca was very nice. The Check-in was quietly and proper told by the owner. Typical spanisch house, the rooms are simpel but very clean. Excellent restaurant, nice food and top waiters.

Lovely Hostal close to beach and all amenities

I have been going to Cala D'Or for the last 20yrs and have never stayed here before, I will without a doubt be going back, the staff are amazing, cleaner in room everyday, a lovely little find right in the centre of town with the beach yards away!

Super hyggeligt og personligt ophold.

En super dejlig modtagelse. Rigtig dejligt personale både i reception, restaurant og rengøring hvilket betød at man hurtigt følte sig hjemme. Eneste negative - ikke bord og stole på alle balkoner. Et sted jeg helt sikkert vil komme igen.

Preiswert und schlicht

Die Betten sind sehr hart. Abends ist es eher laut, da es gerade am Rand der Fußgängerzone ist. Das Restaurant gleich im Hotel ist auch jeden Abend laut. Das versprochene Wifi ist offiziell doch nicht gratis, wobei aber das wifi von der Lobby, welches gratis war, bis ins Zimmer reichte. Bei der Toilette lief die ganze Zeit die Spülung und es hat überall Rostspuren. Ich wollte getrennte Betten, doch der Wunsch konnte nicht berücksichtigt werden. Insgesamt muss ich sagen, dafür dass ich wenig dafür bezahlt habe ist es ok. Positiv ist auf jedenfall die Umgebung und die Nähe zum Strand.

Basic accommodation. Nice restaurant Mabey a bit overpriced tho. Pay for wifi. No toiletries or hairdryer in room. No TV either. On Main Street. Bit noisy at night. Walls paper thin in hotel. Don't expect luxury but ok for a couple of days.

Hôtel bien situé, propre et pas cher, au milieu de l'animation de cala d'or, logé côté rue c'est très bruyant jusqu'à tard dans la nuit, clim et wifi payant. Chambre ancienne et sans télé. mais fonctionnelle.Pour le prix c'est très correct ça a permis de partir en vacances pour pas cher.

Basic hotel in a good location

This hotel is very basic, but I was aware of that when booking so I can't complain. It was clean and well located. However, I found it a little bit much to charge for anything extra, e.g. air conditioning, wifi in the room, safe. I didn't find the place that cheap, considering in the end I was only paying for a room with a bed (breakfast not included, no toiletries either)! Also, reception is closed at certain times during the day but it doesn't say so anywhere when you book through Expedia, so I turned up to find that there was no-one there. Luckily, one of the young men who works in the restaurant said I could leave my suitcase in the back and return about half and hour later, and as the weather was nice I was happy to wander around and explore. However, I don't think it is acceptable to have no-one at reception during the day (and no-one apologised for my having to go off and come back). I also noticed that even when reception was open, it was often left unmanned...
