OMG! If you are still trying to decide! Don’t wait any longer and book it. This place was amazing! I felt like I was staying at the museum , so much interestings things around the hotel and lots of history. Staff is very polite, helpful and friendly. I didn’t want to leave! Would defitenly come back here next time I’m in Italy!

Comodità e silenzio

Parcheggio comodo, villa antica trasformata in hotel mantenendo l'atmosfera da casa padronale. Camere comode e pulizia impeccabile. Completano il tutto il magico contesto, immerso nel verde e nel silenzio del parco, seppure in posizione comoda agli spostamenti in auto.

Great hotel for visiting Piza Florence and Tuscany

A really charming hotel with great staff and an excellent restaurant. The Villa is old and interesting, our room was pleasing, spacious and comfortable with a very good en suite bathroom. Breakfast and dinner were excellent too. Highly recommended.

A little eerie

The hotel is a beautiful old villa but when we were there it was completely empty which made for sort of a eerie feeling. Rooms are spacious and clean but staff is a little cold which added to the same feeling. San Miniato is a pretty quiet town although we did find a wonderful restaurant that enlivened our experience- Osteria L'Upupa

We loved this beautiful old villa that has been nicely modernized inside. It was a little remote but we knew that when we booked it. The rooms and furniture were great.

Hard to find

The hotel was excellent, however it was very difficult to find. The address was not in fact where one found the hotel which made it difficult, it was only with the help of some workmen nearby that we located it.Apar from that the hotel was excellent and we had an outstanding supper there.

Bel hotel toscan!

Belle escale de 5 jours à la Villa Sonnino qui est placée parfaitement entre Pise, Florence, Vinci. A deux pas d'un access de la FI-PI-LI, cet hotel est au calme en haut du colline. Service impeccable, petit-déjeuner gratuit fort bien garni. Je recommande le restaurant qui est ouvert de 20h à 22h.

superb stay

Unbelievable deal! The room was huge, comfortable,and well stacked with towels. There was a complimentary bottle of spumante and one of sparkling water. Wifi needs code from reception, works well. Restaurant on site is superb, gourmet cuisine, generous portions. Breakfast was a great assortment of meats, breads, fruit, yogurt, local baked goods, excellent coffee. The managers were extremely helpful with local info. We used it as a base for exploring Tuscany. for the GPS, put in the cross streets : Via Castelvecchio and SS67; sign for hotel, as is usual in Italy, is discreet. Going west on SS67, turn right on Castelvecchio(just after a whitish building)it is an unpaved road. just go up to the end, parking will be on the right.

Exactly what I hoped from a Tuscan villa

Service was excellent, both at check in and breakfast. The staff were very helpful and friendly despite us not understanding a word of Italian. The Villa is a lovely place on top of a hill, really quiet, comfortable rooms and great food. As if that wasn't enough they gave us a bottle of bubbles! Even without the free wine, this is one of the most all-round satisfying hotels i've stayed in (and I travel a lot)
