"Let me start out by saying that the staff was wonderful! However, nothing else was. After we checked in and went to our room, the first thing I noticed was the most horrific chemical smell overpowering the entire room. It’s as if it was intended to cover up an old, stale, almost moldy odor. I immediately felt it in my lungs and started coughing (I have a lung disease). My sister’s eyes immediately began watering and turning red. Since it was past the cutoff to cancel, I assumed I would be out the money, but I also knew I couldn’t stay in that room for health reasons. I went and spoke to the desk clerk and told her about the room situation and she immediately agreed to cancel the reservation without any penalty, and fully refund my money. So I give the staff a 10 out of 10, but I would recommend that the rooms be truly cleaned and not chemically saturated to cover up the way the rooms smell underneath it."
