Don’t be a greedy gringo or a cudo Colombian. Be thankful for what you have and if you tip each employee who goes above and beyond to assist you, you’ll realize that any generosity is appreciated, especially in a country with such small middle class and large wealth gap. Just be a good person and tip $10-$50 pesos at least once during your stay to each employee assisting you and you’ll be surprised how much more you’ll enjoy your stay at the NH. I’ve stayed at all the 5 stars in BAQ and the service iat the NH is among the best. Make sure you take care of the receptionists since they rarely receive tips, and just be friendly. "
